The National Association of Tree Officers (NATO) has been rebranded with a new name and logo. The new organisation the Association of Tree Officers (ATO) will represent and promote UK tree officers at a national and international level and support the work of the regional tree officer groups. Please take a look at the website www.ato.org.uk.
The ATO Directors have been working on a new membership package and writing a constitution for the organisation over the past year. We’ve made some changes to make it easier for individual officers who want to join and can now offer greater contacts and a better network to support the work of tree officers.
Imogen Mole, Arboriculture and Landscape Officer at Broadland District Council and ATO Director, said
“I’m really excited about the relaunch of the organisation, we all strongly believe in its potential, not only to provide a central place for national organisations to reach out to tree officers but to build on existing links and a community of expertise. Standing together we will have a louder, stronger and unified voice. This can only be a good thing for tree officers.”
