Course Objectives:

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  •  Understand key AI concepts and the capabilities/limitations of large language models (LLMs).
  •  Apply effective prompting techniques to generate useful outputs for professional tasks.
  • Use a range of AI tools confidently, including text-based assistants, image-generation platforms, and introductory AI-coding tools.
  • Describe key ethical, risk, and best-practice considerations when using AI in arboricultural work.

Course Content:

This one-day workshop is designed for Arboricultural Consultants and Tree Officers, and professionals involved in community engagement or project delivery who want to confidently and effectively integrate AI into their work. Built on a year of iterative development by Callum Throw of Arb Innovators, the workshop delivers a hands-on introduction to modern AI tools and Large Language Models (LLMs), tailored to real-world applications in the arboricultural industry.
