In the spring of 2020 the Women in Arboriculture Group launched one of its first major initiatives, aiming to gather statistical evidence of some of the issues women in our predominantly male industry face in sourcing PPE and climbing kit that fits, and the impact that has on their day-to-day work.
One of the key objectives for the group is to support the women in our industry, and this has been one of the issues most frequently raised. There was a fantastic response to the survey, with over 270 people from around the world providing their feedback.
The results showed that almost 92% of respondents said they had struggled to find PPE or climbing equipment that fits. Some of the key results are displayed here, with a more detailed report being made available to all including industry retailers and suppliers soon. Thank you to everyone who took the time to provide feedback.
