Thanks to a generous anonymous donation, we are pleased to launch a new prize aimed at celebrating careers in arboriculture. The two winning student members will receive 3 of the top publications from the Arboricultural Association book shop.

How to enter:
There are 2 ways of entering the competition.
We are looking to hear either:
1) why you chose arboriculture as a career,
2) or) about any interesting subject of your choice.
One will be awarded to the best written submission (maximum 500 words) and the other for the best video (maximum 3 minutes long).
Submit your entry via email to john@trees.org.uk with the email heading BOOK PRIZE and make sure you include your name, course details (subject, full/part time) and where you are studying. If English is not your first language, then do the best you can!
Please note that this competition is only open to Student members of the Association – if you are not a Student Member then don’t worry, it is free to sign up! Check out trees.org.uk/membership for details.
Article Entries
- Write an article up to 500 words on why you chose arboriculture as your profession OR an interesting subject of your choice.
- Article must include your: Name, Age, Full or Part Time , Course level/title and country.
Video Entries
- Submit a video up to 3 minutes long on an arb related subject of your choice. This can be filmed<./li>
- Send your video entry files in via WeTransfer to john@trees.org.uk, alternatively, you can send Dropbox or GoogleDrive links
- When sending your file please include your Name, Age, Full or Part Time, Course level/title and country in the comments box.

The prize has been donated by someone who has benefited from encouragement and support from members of the industry and realises just how important that sort of help is.
Although this could be seen as a competition, there is no right or wrong answer – it’s down to what catches the attention of the panel.
The winner of each prize will be publicised, with the article featured in the ARB Magazine and the winning video to be aired during a live webinar.
