Firstly, may we wish you all a Happy New Year. We trust you had a suitably relaxing break at Christmas?
We are writing to let you know of some necessary changes to the management of the AC Scheme that will take place during 2020. Rather than this news causing Paul Smith’s phone and email going into meltdown Paul has explained why this is necessary and the plan moving forward in the following video.
To clarify, Paul will be stepping back from his role, for personal reasons, as the full time AC Scheme Manager over the spring and into the summer of 2020. To clarify matters, Paul is not leaving the Association but through necessity, his role will change to one of a part time, regionally based Technical Officer; this enables him to spend more of his week at home where his priorities must lie.
The Association will be advertising for a new Scheme Manager shortly, who will work alongside Paul in the Spring and early Summer, to ensure as smooth and seamless a handover as possible. The vacancy will be posted on our website shortly so if you, or anyone you know, may be interested, please take a look at the advert on the Association’s website.
Rest assured that we are all committed to ensuring that it will be ‘business as usual’ and that Paul will still be around once the new person has been appointed.
We will keep you updated once we have appointed a new Scheme Manager, whom you’ll get to meet in the future. Until then, we will ensure it remains business as usual.
As always, if you have any questions – please feel free to contact us, ideally via Polly – polly@trees.org.uk in the first instance & we’ll get back to you asap.
Very best regards
Stewart Wardrop
