An exciting opportunity has arisen to work with Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council's Tree team.

Tree Officers are the council’s specialists in all matters relating to trees. The role’s primary responsibility is the management of the council’s tree stock, so that they do not pose a foreseeable risk to people or property, in line with the adopted Tree Management Protocol, best practice guidance and legislation.

This responsibility will be carried out through proactive surveying of the council tree stock including street trees, trees in parks and open spaces, trees in Council housing stock gardens and Council owned woodlands, responding to enquiries from the public; resolving member enquiries and identifying opportunities to increase and improve the borough’s tree cover.

The role works in conjunction with other council teams to meet wider council objectives, such as colleagues in Green Spaces and Development Control, to provide a strong positive voice for trees in the borough.

To discuss the role please contact Kevin Burke at Kevin-EDS.Burke@rotherham.gov.uk

This post will have access to the Public Services Network, if successful you will be required to apply for a disclosure of criminal records check at the Basic level (unspent criminal convictions).
