We are seeking two self-motivated, enthusiastic and experienced Arboricultural Surveyors to join the team in our Neighbourhood Services team. The roles are aimed at managing the City Council’s tree estate in a manner that delivers maximum benefits for people and nature. These roles are responsible for inspecting trees, handling data and interfacing with external contractors and internal Parks staff to deliver a high standard of arboriculture practices across the city, covering all aspects of tree management. You will ensure that all regulations concerning practices are met, engaging positively and safeguarding the public and stakeholders at all times.
Reporting to the Arboricultural Officer the two roles will be based at the Argyll Road depot, although much of the work will take place out on site in the Councils Parks and Open Spaces. Both Roles are full time, but one is permanent and the other is based on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract. Hours are based on a 37 hour working week, flexi time will apply around the needs of the service.
