A fantastic opportunity for an experienced and motivated arboricultural professional to join our tree and woodland team and make a real difference for people and nature in Bristol.

What will I be doing?

As part of an experienced and well-established team you will be responsible for the risk management of Bristol City Council’s tree population within parks, open spaces and highways.

You will provide expert and specialist arboricultural services, including providing advice to other Council departments and external partners, ensuring technical information is accessible to non-specialist audiences. You will be responsible for consultation and engagement processes relating to tree management activities.

What do I need to have?

You will have a minimum Level 4 qualification in Arboriculture. You will make decisions regarding the risk management of trees informed by industry practices, QTRA and relevant British Standards. You will be familiar with commissioning and contracting works. If you will need to demonstrate a willingness to pursue training if you do not hold a QTRA qualification.

You will have excellent communication skills and be able to develop positive working relationships with stakeholders and colleagues, including having good relationships with our tree contractors.

You will be motivated and able to work independently, planning and prioritising your work.
