A core part of our strategic vision is promoting tree care and tree care professionals and furthering the understanding of the science and practice of arboriculture.
Here you can find information on some of our ongoing campaigns and outreach work.
Arb Ambassadors form part of our national outreach programme to engage children and young people, as well as the wider public, in arboriculture and the importance of the tree care profession.
The association produces a variety of free resources, from technical guidance to materials promoting arboriculture. If you are going to an event and need some educational or promotional materials, we are happy to provide these free-of-charge.
Part of our vision to inspire by providing resources to help members to tell others about the importance of trees and tree care professionals, creating a link between the profession and the general public.
Raising awareness of the importance and variety of job roles in arboricululture. Every amenity tree you see in your day-to-day lives is there because of the work of a long chain of professionals, perhaps dozens or even hundreds of individuals working in different areas of arboriculture, all part of the tree care community.
The Arboricultural Association is working with all stakeholders to address the succession in arboriculture crisis. Making sure we have a healthy stream of people coming into the sector from all walks of life and ensuring they have enough options for a long and successful career.
A campaign launched to encourage more focus on aftercare, sharing knowledge with the general public about arboriculture and tree care; communicating some of the key messages and helping people learn more about tree planting and aftercare.
A campaign run during dry spells to encourage communities to help young trees thrive into the future by watering and making sure aftercare plans are in place.
